Elon Musk's Boring Company to Extend the Las Vegas Loop
Elon Musk's Boring Company tunneling that is currently developing the convention center loop announces plans to extend the Las Vegas Loop project.
The Boring Company Is Going To Extend The Vegas Loop
Boring Company - tunnel construction services company founded by Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, - may look to extend its las Vegas Loop system. During a meeting of Board of Directors the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), Steve Hill, President and CEO, announced that the organization has recently applied its application to the city of Las Vegas for a special use permit. In addition, the boring company plans to shortly file an application for land use in Clark county. This represents the first steps in developing the tunneling system that links the strip, airport, and stadium.
“The Vegas Loop will be a game changer for our visitors seeking to quickly access world-class attractions and resorts throughout the destination in a fun and convenient way.”
Steve Hill
The underground tunneling project started with the $52 million Convention Center Loop that links the current 3.2 million square foot Las Vegas convention center with the $980 million extension of the West Hall. According to the initiative, Tesla vehicles can carry visitors from the 200 acre campus using the Loop in less than two minutes. In that light, the project is scheduled to be finished in January next year.
Earlier this September, Musk tweeted:

Link Transit The Future Of Las Vegas
The recently planned network of tunnels is identical to the current project of the corporation that intends to link the North and South side of Las Vegas. The tunneling machine is preparing to travel as far North as the Circa casino, touching the airport and Allegiant Stadium in the strip with the main artery beneath Las Vegas Boulevard. The groundbreaking system for the tunneling method reflects Musk's idea of driving without difficulty and away from the noisy traffic.
“We are very excited about the future of Loop transportation in Las Vegas and are grateful for the enthusiasm shown by Clark County, the City of Las Vegas, the LVCVA, the resorts, and attractions.”
Vegas Loop President Steve Davis.
In addition, the tunneling transit infrastructure proposals include a train station and a connecting tunnel for the Las Vegas Resorts World. The $4.3 billion resort project is scheduled to open next summer and is currently under planning. Resorts world has already earned clark county commission permission for linking to the tunneling loop system. When finished, the project would provide convenient transportation for travelers through Las Vegas using Tesla vehicles across the tunnels.
