PokerStars and Quickspin Together in Italy

Quickspin and PokerStars have reached a mutually beneficial partnership that will see the pair grow in italy, with Quickspin for the first time in its history bringing its gaming content to the region.

Italy's Gaming Day

Italy is also a trial area for the business of iGaming and poker. A new bill will enter into effect on January 1, 2019, banning any and all public ads advertising gaming and poker goods, as it is a long-standing measure. But it doesn't appear to bother corporations in the least.

Quickspin, a well-established igaming provider, has collaborated with the brand's famous card room of The Stars Group PokerStars community to help the company offer its italy products. For PokerStars, though, it's not the first non-endemic alliance and the agreement would concentrate on casino games rather than poker.

PokerStars will help the Playtech-owned studio launch a variety of common slots for Italian casinos, including Sakura Fortune, Dragon Shine, Phoenix Light, and eventually carry out new content in the months to come. Some PokerStars collaborations with iGaming developers can also be remembered in the past.

"We are delighted to have secured a deal with PokerStars. Going live with them is exciting for us and continues our exciting plans for expansion" – said Daniel Lindberg, Quickspin CEO

The chief executive of Guickspin, Daniel Lindberg, clarified that his company had a strong affinity for slot games and that the company's goal was to develop goods that customers would like, chat about and share. Ultimately, M,r. Lindberg wished that Quickspin would "storm the nation with some of our most thrilling sports" in Italy.

PokerStars is now part of the broad family of Quickspin which currently has related relationships with Betsson, Mr. Green, LeoVegas, JackpotJoys Vera & John, Kindred Group, and Danske Spill.

Card Rooms & Casinos

PokerStars has taken an creative approach to operating its card rooms, securing a casino license in Italy earlier this year, and rolling out some interesting new innovations, including their augmented reality poker approach.

The company also retains Italy as a critical market for expanding its poker activities. PokerStars is the only company in Europe that uses mutual liquidity, namely Spain, France and Portugal, across three nations.

At the same time, Portugal has proved difficult for other businesses, including those who are now using another Playtech initiative – the iPoker Network, which is the continent's first B2B poker solution. Playtech is now doing just the same thing that PokerStars is pressing for a license in italy that will potentially allow their customers to introduce players from the country as soon as Italian gamers become eligible for shared liquidity games.

Overall, the number of applications received by the country's antitrust watchdog Agenzia delle Dogane dei Monopoli reached 80 in 2018. Despite the looming danger of a potentially business-destroying ban on gambling ads, businesses still feel secure about launching their Italian operations.

More possibly, PokerStars is improving its deal to supplement its card space. PokerStars would not lose as badly as a high-profile company from a blanket ban on advertisements, the stars group reports.

Interested poker players and casino players both find their way there sooner or later.
