Scientific Games comes to Morocco with new products

Italy's gaming company SISAL SPA already has a presence in Morocco, but it is about to get some more options to sell customers. Scientific Games is entering the local market through a new alliance with SISAL that will allow the launch this month of new instant lotery games, instant digital games and its wave lottery retailer terminals.

The new agreement is seen as a big achievement for Scientific Games, which has been finding ways to extend its entry to the Moroccan market. Scientific Games will carry its Open Gaming System to SISAL which will include a new platform for e-instant consumer choices.

SISAL is setting up a nationwide network of lottery stores that will be enhanced by the new options, as well as the newest lottery terminals and instant scratch-off tickets available from science gamers. SISAL also has a strong footprint on the global lottery market and leads the push to bring new solutions that fuel the curiosity of customers.

In a quote, Pat McHugh, CEO of the Scientific Games' Lottery Group, said:

We are particularly excited about supporting the national lottery in Morocco and deploying our games and technology in the African market.”

SISAL first joined Morocco nearly three years ago when a ten year concession was awarded to run the country's national lottery. It launched the lottery in January 2019, and owes Scientific Games much of its popularity in Morocco. The company's multinational gaming technology helped the firm as it put together its proposal to submit to the country's Societe de Gestion de la Loterie Nationale, the regulatory body responsible for the lottery.

SISAL has also upped its game in other countries, in addition to Morocco. Recently, it won a concession to run parimutuel games in home country, and has just picked up a new deal to manage Turkey's national lottery through subsidiary Sisal Sans. It is also creating a sports gaming option for the Turkish industry, with Inspired Entertainment.
