Tobias Fagerlund steps down as Global Gaming CEO
Global Gaming 555 AB has announced that Swedish operator's CEO Tobias Fagerlund is leaving the company with immediate effect.
The executive became a Global Gaming's acting CEO in April 2019, and became permanent in July 2019. While he will step down as CEO, Fagerlund will assist in an advisory capacity to the Global Gaming council.
In a company press release, Global Gaming board chairman Niklas Braathen clarified that the move comes as the firm is "facing a new era," making it important to "strengthen the company's role further."
Christian Rasmussen, a former board member, has been named as the company's acting CEO. In the hunt for a new CEO the board will start a succession process.
Commenting on Fagerlund's exit, Braathen said: "Tobias led global gaming in a very meritorious fashion during his tenure as CEO, I agree. He completed a significant part of our turnaround steps and showed a good and transparent leadership for the company that was utterly required. Tobias then laid a strong base for the future activities of global gaming with considerable success."
