TheScore Joins Problem Gambling Board as Premium Member
The National Council on Problem Gambling has expanded its proactive activities in gambling by incorporating theScore as a premium affiliate.
TheScore Becomes Exclusive Affiliate For NCPG
Score Media and Gaming Inc. has entered into a relationship with the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) through its affiliate Score Digital Sports Ventures Inc., best known by brand name theScoreBet.
The decision signals the company's unambiguous stance on responsible gambling and determination to maintain consumer safety practices at a time when theScoreBet is growing its smartphone service across North America rapidly.
As the leading national agency with the mission of preventing and managing addiction to gambling and supporting impacted families and people, the NCPG has been pursuing stronger relations with leading betting and gaming companies.
TheScore Platinum Membership will allow the NCPG to raise public understanding of gambling addiction as well as encourage impacted persons to pursue and receive treatment for any gambling-related problems that could manifest in them or their families.
Strengthening Knowledge Of Gambling Addiction
Commenting on the new tie-up, theScore General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, Josh Sidsworth, observed that the NCPG was an important voice in championing responsible gaming and providing the best possible experience. He had this to say further:
“Partnering with the NCPG further deepens our commitment to responsible gaming, providing valuable resources as legal mobile sports betting and iGaming continue to grow across North America.”
NCPG Executive Director Keith Whyte accepted the membership in reaction to the relationship, stating that incorporating thescore was a significant benefit for the organisation. TheScore's broad scope and dedication to responsible gambling transforms into the potential to increase awareness and generate new support for problem gambling, Whyte observed.
Meanwhile theScore is actively committed to the activities of the NCPG as illustrated in the Safer Sports Betting Initiative and Internet Responsible Gambling Standards, a non-profit organisation. TheScore has been aggressively growing its presence across the US.
The business officially launched its smartphone app in Colorado in September and was collaborating with Twin River in New Jersey.
