But being a fan for Microgaming, I decided to try it.

Serenity is an Asian themed slot with 5 reels and 15 paylines. Although the symbols for the game are usual- lanterns and letters, I think the design for this game is good because the slot has a background which looks like a peaceful landscape. Minimum bets are 15 cents per spin and I've played this game a few times now and those are the bets I stick with.

This game has quite regular features- free spins, triggered by scatters, wild symbols that substitute all symbols, except scatter and bonus, and a bonus round. At first I was quite interested in the bonus round, but after getting it a few times, I think it's hard to get decent win there. Since this bonus is triggered when 3 or more bonus symbols land on an active payline, it can take some time to get this bonus, once it took me over 200 spins to get it, but after that they came more often. But the more symbols you get, the higher win. If you get 5 symbols, winnings are up to 500x bet which is incredible for a pick me bonus, but from my experience, it's really hard to get more than 3 symbols. Few times I got 4 bonus symbols, so I had to make 4 picks, but still my biggest win on this feature has been 20x bet.

Another thing I noticed and disliked was the paylines. I am not really a fan for 15 payline games, but when I played this game the paylines seemed unusual, many times I felt like there should have been a win, while there wasn't a payline. But that being said, I think this game has decent winning potential. For 3 or more scatters you get 10 free spins 3x multiplied. From my experience it isn't too easy to trigger them, once I had over 500 spins without any free spins feature, but when I did, it gave me close to 100x bet winnings.

Overall I think this is a decent release from Microgaming, design is pleasant, also I like that it can be played with such small bets. I also haven't lost a lot with it, because it gives frequent winnings, but at the same time it's really hard to get winnings over 20x bet on base game, I haven't experienced higher winnings there, while on free spins I think there's a good winning possibility. This won't become a game I play regularly, but I recommend to give it a try.

All the symbols are presented in bigger pixels, so they look really great when they are that big. My only complaint...the colours and hues used in the graphics are mostly of reds and yellows, typically symbolic of Asian/Chinese culture, making everything looks a tad too warm for my liking. I would prefer to have more of the blue and purple colours to cool things down a bit.

Standard 2 features can be won in this game of Serenity - a Bonus Game and a Free Spins Game. There's nothing much more other than the two features, so you can safely maintain serenity in your home, or wherever you may be playing it. Certainly not like when you're playing Dead Or Alive, for example, whereby anything can happen, anything can fly by, anything can burst into pieces...and yeah...including things flying out of the window too! That game can really kill...this game won't...but it is okay generally.

Now, knowing its meaning I can relate calming background sound with seranity. I like graphics and theme and Microgaming made game in my taste.

It's a 5-reels 243-paylines video slot, playable from as low as 0.15 cent bet size per spin. I had quite a number of small wins during my last session and many 5-of-a-kind combinations too, which gave me wins between 2 and 5 Euros on my 0.30 cents bets. This sounds way too delicious, yet I am quite disappointed because I am convinced that we would hear of this in the forum, of someone jumping in with nice win screenshots, or I had missed something. But I know for a fact, we could chase these wins and I hope they do not remain only in theory here.

3, 4 or 5 Lantern Bonus symbols will trigger the Lantern Bonus feature where you could get rewarded between 36x up to 500x your bet size. I truly like this game very much but I will not give it a serious try until I discuss its winning potential in forum, just in case if I had missed something during my absence.
