BetOnSoft by creating City of Gold definitely increased the number of games that fall into the above mentioned category and nothing could have saved this product from me. City of Gold basically a great exploring adventure game that leads me back to the ancient culture of South America and unfold the (art) richness and a little mystic world of the lost Indian civilization.

The slot’s view is impressive. Around the reels we can see jungle and pyramid and with the illustrations of characters we immediately know we’re in a good place. Treasures, map, relics, symbolic emblems are the figures we can play with and though some of them are uncategorizable for me but I like what it provides and find them nice Even numbers and letters on the screen got a little extra as they look like if they were labyrinths and maps to a hidden treasure.

I just don’t know what to do with the 2 Alien-like characters sitting on the top of payline indicators on both sides of the reels. I just only can suppose the creators wanted to symbolize the mysticism and inexplicable things which are all around that entirely aren’t discovered noble civilization. Overall, I find its visual qualities both interesting and entertaining and with the complex layout and nicely drawn pictures in my opinion the developer did a respectable job with this game.

The 20-payline slot provides top win in 6000 coins value with 5 Wild symbols what also doubles every wins which completed with it. At least 3 Pyramids are needed to start Free Spin feature but it can be more generous as we can win only 3, 6 or 9 extra games, true, every single winnings there has a x3 multiplier number.

But the heart and soul of the game would be Liquid Gold bonus game if it wasn’t so hard to get there. Every time when 3 Maps land on the reels, 1 Golden Orb is awarded and we need to collect 10 of them to go where the real adventure and treasure hunt start so we have to have a decent bankroll to achieve this goal, and I noticed the first 5 of them relatively quickly come but the last some pieces just like a pretty girl don’t want to show itself (by the way on a stone above the reels we can monitor how many Orbs are still missing). The scatter, Maps also can award 100 times of total bet if 5 appear anywhere on the reels.

In the inner pyramid bonus scene we must find the right path and guide the Gold in a labyrinth and along the way we can collect some fine prizes but the main goal to reach the end of the way where much bigger money is there for grab.
Needless to say, I’ve never completed this task so far but it’s a real good side game with much potential in it and even if it’s just a simple ‘find a way’ type bonus, it really can entertainment and have to be ready for the challenge.

I think BetOnSoft really succeeded to piece together an all-around fine game. There are no real weaknesses in the slot and it can give in every segment what I love. From the subject, visualization through the characters till the bonus and rewards the City of Gold meets the quality requirements and what it’s a good indicator in my case I always look for the opportunity to spend some time with it if I visit a place where it is available to play.
