The theme of the game is space. You are a galactic traveler looking for adventure and ways of making money. Your trusted monkey is by your side and if you get three of them or more you will get free spins. I did not know at the beginning that monkey give free spins so it was a nice surprise when I got four of the the first time.
When you play this game on a normal mode you might notice that the pays are pretty small. In fact the only way to win big is to get five wilds and we all know how hard that could be.

But that all changes in free spins. When ever you get wilds they make the whole reel wild. So if you get few rockets on the reels you are going to win tonnes. I got free spins many times and on average it is from $15 to $30, there are other times when the game goes crazy and on a bet of 3 coins you could get almost $150. My best win was when I got two rockets on first two reels and two rockets on last two reels. It was around $140 and if I got that rocket in the middle it would have been crazy.

There is also another bonus in this game. You are in a rocket and you have to get planets. It took me ages to learn how to play this bonus. It is pretty cool that it requires skill, but I like the free spins more. My best on this bonus was $24 on $0.80 bet.

Overall I like the game, I like the free spins and I think it funky. My rating would be 8 out of 10. You have to give it a shot and try to get free spins, it will change your mind.

I chose “Cosmic Quest II -Mystery Planets”, because the name was beautiful and I said myself that it is not possible to not offer something new and beautiful. And I was right about one thing: the slot is very nice “drawn” with dozens of lights that flash and also flashing symbols when they are aligned. Each planet has its “charm” here.

What I did not like about this slot was that I came across another one of the dozens of Rival slots that pay little or nothing. I said myself: you have not what to do, like this one here are all the games, and I played willy-nilly about 250-300 spins even after the first 50 spins I knew about everything about the game. These Rival slots where after the first 100 spins you lose 15-18 Euros have a big flaw: they pay very little for all “3 of a kind” combinations and so much for “5 of a kind”. That is, a winning for bet of 20 cents happens on average once every 3 spins and is about 2.5 cents. And to have “5 of a kind” that give a win of about 2-5 Euro, you have to play a good 50-100 spins. And in about the same “style” pay 2/3 of the slots here in Rival. Yes, some games go even further: you do not win anything in the actual spins and the only earnings you are getting are from the bonus (I will never forget that, for example playing “A Day at the derby” 80% of the payouts value was given just by the bonus game.) In these slots you cannot catch a screen shot, because here there is no Big Win.

To realize how stingy are these slots, from a series of 35 Free Spins (retriggered once) I came out with exactly 95 cents! And I say that I was lucky because once it happened that from the 10 Free Spins I did not won a thing! Zero, nema, nada, nix, you can say whatever, so far this happened to me just once (to went out from Free Spins with zero wins).

So in spite of its brilliance and alert spins, something else you cannot find here. This is another one of those weak Rival games that it is better to stay away from.

The game look like if a stamp would be on it saying ‘Under age of 10’. All symbols are childish, some of them are impossible to categorize and overall don’t show a comprehensive look. I don’t understand if there are many greatly executed fantasy slots why it would be so hard to create a not infantile game in this subject…

Sadly, not much else the game has to compensate me other than the Mission Control bonus game. Somehow I look something retro beauty in it. It’s like a rudimentary video game from the 80’s where we have to shoot down asteroids with laser fire of a space shift and the game lasts until our third life is used up. I assume the nostalgia factor is what I can appreciate only because it’s an ugly game.

I also find not just this bonus but the whole game is a very low-paying product. There are long runs while nothing happens just the balance is decreasing. The free spins triggered by Monkey Astronaut figures and have only 10 spins which conclude the same possible winning value as in the normal game although the Wild becomes Expanding Wild and all the wins are accumulated with it pay triple. In return to this great favour from creators the Wild has no such function at base spins and just substitutes any other symbols. Five Rockets on an active line mean the Jackpot of the game and its award is 5000 coins. That’s all the game features.

At Rival, they must be afraid of something big win that get them to bankruptcy because they don’t like nowadays to give out some cumulative winning chances. If a free spins have multiplier quality the Wild hasn’t for that games, if Wild no such extra normally it can offer it during this bonus but not both can provide this at the same time. I hope it’s not a new tendency to cut the numbers of the successfully free spin sessions.

Back to the game, I’m not satisfied with it at all. It’s a non-attractive slot and babyish enough to not to take it too seriously. Poor payouts, weak features make it a not well-created slot. It’s not a nice thing and maybe I couldn’t do it but I don’t recommend it. I think there are much better Rival games that could give much more in any segment of joy.
