Basically, Misfit Toyland is a Christmas-themed game, so it must have been released sometime late last year before Christmas. I was expecting Santa to be the Wild symbol in the game, but it isn't. Instead, Jack-in-the-box is the Wild symbol. A non-paying symbol, appearing only on reels 1, 2 and 3, it expands into a full Wild Reel with any wins with it, so getting 3 Wild Reels is a distinct possibility in this game. Santa is the Scatter symbol, yet another non-paying one, unfortunately, which only serves to award a Free Spins game, which comes in 3 choices or modes. Broken Truck mode offers 10 free spins with Sticky Wilds (only in winning combinations), Jack-in-the-box mode offers 10 free spins with a full Wild Reel on reel 3 for every free spin, whilst Sinking Ship offers 10 free spins with sinking Wilds that expand downwards, again, only in winning combinations. However, no retriggering of the free spins is possible, so this sucks. The other symbols in the game pay from 500x down to 25x the line bet, making the paytable a very low one.

If not for its 243 ways to win, I wouldn't even recommend playing this game! That's because the wins would hardly ever be satisfying enough, even with 3 Wild Reels on the reels! I managed to get a few times of these 3 Wild Reels in the base game, so that 243 ways certainly helped to produce nice wins of over 200x my bet amount. Imagine the kind of payout that win would pay if it was just with 25 paylines for example - probably paying not more than a mere 30x total bet. win!

As for the 3 choices or modes for the free spins, I have tried out all 3 of them, with very disappointing results for the Broken Truck and Sinking Ship modes! My preference is still the Jack-in-the-box mode, with a Wild Reel on reel 3 for each and every free spin. However, not once did I get one more Wild symbol appearing during the free spins, so I would dare say that there can only be 1 Wild Reel ever! Very disappointing too! Never mind about those Broken Truck sticky Wilds that hardly made any wins, and sticking only once or twice with new wins, and similarly too with that Sinking Ship Wilds that expanded downwards only with wins. Both modes turned out to be very poor win producers indeed!

Nonetheless, playing this Misfit Toyland game can produce some good and exciting wins, with the best wins coming only in the base game with those 3 Wild Reels. If it isn't your lucky day when playing this game, it can turn out to be a rather boring and a money-eater game instead, which I also have found out in my other sessions on this game.
