The Beta Fish, commonly known as the Siamese Fighting Fish, is a beautiful yet fearsome animal. This slot takes a tongue in cheek approach toward the theme with boxing gloves, belts and a cast of warriors ready to do battle on the reels. Gameplay includes substitute symbols, scatters, re-spins and the opportunity to multiply each win with strategic gambles. ...

You have to get two fighting fish on the second and fourth reels. Once you get that you have to select a fish. Then the two fish fight and if you fish wins you will get three free spins with both reels wild. You can win a lot of money on this bonus. I would admit it does take time to get the bonus but once you get its worth it. I never got this bonus on a big bet, but im sure if you do you will win big.

My usual bet would be €0.30 to €0.90. I got this bonus on €0.60 bet and won max around €60. I would usually win around €30-€40 on smaller bet and most of the time get five of a king in free spins.

Over all the game play is really good. The graphics are funny and the feature game is very interesting. The sound effects are nice too and actually suit the game. I like boxing so for me it is really enjoyable to see them fish knock the heads of each other. I think you could easily win over €100 on a max bet. I would recommend this game to everyone. It is fun, cool and very entertaining. I could play it for a long time without getting bored. If I was to rate it I would give it 8 out of 10. Hope you enjoyed my review and have a nice day

e of those is Fighting Fish. First of all I don’t like the sound that comes in the background as the reels spin. The sound is identical with a lot of other Microgaming slots. Some of them are Flaying Circus, Mark of Medusa, Bearly Fishing and so on. In my opinion that is pretty boring. Also the reels in this game spin very slow. That’s another disadvantage for me. I like reels that spin fast.

The theme for this game is some imaginary underwater world in which there is a box match between two fish. It is best shown if you get the free spins bonus round. Here you will get to choose between two fish ( red and blue ) fighting each other. The number of the free spins depends whether you get to choose the fish that wins or not. This bonus round is the only thing interesting with this overall boring game. You can have some big wins here because the second and fourth reel turns into wild during the free spins bonus. I tried this game at Gaming Club casino once and in over half an hour on a 0.30 to 0.60 bet I was over 100 euros in plus.

Overall, Fighting Fish is a pretty boring game. On the other hand it offers you the chance to have some big wins in the free spins bonus round. I give this game 6 out of 10.

I still think they lacked more creativity in order to complete the total impression of the game. I somehow got the impression that their programmers were lazy. They took a lot of things from other games alike for example the sound while the reels turn. I also think that this game is missing a classic bonus game.

Still there are some good things like the symbols which are really interesting. What boosts the overall impression for this game is the free spins bonus. Here you have an underwater boxing match between two fish with interesting animations. You get to choose between a red and blue fish. The number of free spins depends whether you choose the fish that lost or won the match. In both cases you can expect big wins and good cashouts from these free spins. Still you will get the free spins very very rarely.

I would play here for over an hour without getting this bonus. This is what makes the game boring because the free spins bonus is the only thing that Fighting Fish video slot has to offer. Still with some luck you can get the free spins in a very fast time which is profitable in most cases. Even with a minimum bet of 0.30 euros here you will win 30 euros or more in the free spins. When it comes to me I remember very well some of the big wins I had and that is why I occasionally come back to this slot. But like some other Microgaming slots I am very careful here and in 90% of the cases I play on a small bet of 0.30 euros per spin.

Overall

Fighting Fish is a well imagined game but it is missing some elements like another bonus feature which would make it more interesting.

Do you ever see any referee when 2 fighting fish fight? No, right? Hmm, I told you so!

That Crab is the highest paying symbol, paying 5000x the line bet for 5 of them. It's not a Wild symbol, so it cannot and doesn't do anything else. The Boxing Ring is the Scatter symbol, an underwater boxing ring I would presume, 5 of them paying the usual 100x the total bet. In the left corner is the Red Fish and in the right corner is the Blue Fish, both being dumb Wild symbols, because they don't pay for themselves, they don't double any wins and they only do substitution. When each of them appear anywhere on reels 1 and 5, 3 free spins are awarded, with each fish being an Expanded Wild on reels 2 and 4, just like in Playtech's Dolphin Reef game. But why 2 less free spins and not the same? Because Playtech and Microgaming can never the same!

Okay, so what happens when the Red Fish meets the Blue Fish? They fight of course, but not in the way you think they would. Pick which fish you think would win the bout, the red or the blue. Each fish then exchange 2 punches. The third punch knocks the other one out. Either one can be knocked out. If your fish wins, whatever winning combinations on the current reels are doubled. If it loses, all wins remain at par. Simple, yes? Yes. Good, yes? No! At times, the fish you picked would lose all the 3 bouts, and you gain nothing extra from the Free Spins game. Is that any good? Like a dead fish it is! Might as well double all wins from the start, but pay x5 if your fish wins, then that would be more interesting.

Honestly speaking, the game play can be rather boring, the free spins are hardly entertaining, the 3 free spins are definitely short-changing, nice big wins are almost never coming, to win big is purely day-dreaming, what more to say I just cannot start thinking. Right now, another game I'm already searching.
