I can't be objective when it comes to this game because at the beginning of my gambling career I played only in casinos run by Rival and I think that Rival has some of the best slot games in the entire gambling industry.
I remember I took some no deposit bonus at Vanguard Casino and set my bet to 4 euros per spin. My first 4 spin bet in some online casino and I got free spins immediately. The cashout was about 400 euros from those free spins only.
It was an incredible feeling and off course that big win allowed me to meet the wager requirements and make a max withdrawal of 100 or 110 euros I don't remember exactly.
Later on I played a lot more games offered by Rival but All Aboard remained one of my favorite games and I played this slot often in Rival casinos. Of course I had a few more big wins but also some big disappointments, but it's gambling and you can't win all the time.
The interesting part with this game is the bonus round where you have 9 carts and you play by choosing the carts until you find the one that brings you money.
very often you go all the way to the end in this pick up bonus round.
When it comes to the free spins bonus here depending on how many scatter symbols you get you can win 20, 40 up to 100 free spins if you get 5 scatter symbols.
Overall a great game that I recommend and I give it 9 out of 10.
I think this interface is a prototypical Rival work as we can’t find any dazzling pictorial solutions here but what we got in visualization is good enough to play with and even it can create a solid gaming environment.
The 1600 coins what the best paying line win can offer is not too generous but other than that the game features are quite good. Train emblem is the Wild and while it’s substituting it has the ability to doubles the wins and appears in expanding format on the reels. The downside is the symbol only can work on the first 2 reels so it can’t pay any in itself. The so-called Casey Jones character is the free spins activating emblem and can give 10, 20 or even 40 free spins where the wins are multiplied by x2, x3 or x4. I think this side game is a very good one and the winnings there are very often happen and luckily not just the smaller paying ones. Thanks to the used multiplier and the Wilds some very nice line win can be achieved and at the end of the session sometimes the final result is a pleasant surprise for the gambler.
If we can see 3 Bell icons anywhere on the reels at the end of a spin we’ve got to ready for the All Aboard bonus game. It’s not an interesting one or giving too much joy as we have to pick boxcars one after the other until we find an empty one. Every successful selection reveals its bonus prize and at the end it is used to calculate the final won amount. This side game is also a decent paying one in usual and fortunately we don’t need to wait for it forever because at least in my case the game is triggered in very acceptable time frames.
I think All Aboard can be described as a very typical Rival game where almost everything are in place, the graphics and design is solid but not exceptional and where the features and mainly the free spins are the ones what we have to have to get some nice profits and have a chance to finish the play with some nice profits at times. There are some issues about the entertaining and exciting factor which I guess is a permanent problem with Rival products but we must get used to it and live with that at this platform.
One of the games that contributed the most to meet the wager and ask for a withdrawal was this one. For All Aboard I would say that it is a classic video slot game.
This game has 5 reels and 20 paylines. A solid graphic and sound. Also it offers free spins and one pick up bonus. All of this is characteristic for most Rival slot games. With every slot game coming from this software provider the rules and bonuses are similar but still no game is like the other. Each one of them has something special and I think that in Rival they make interesting slot games.
After a long time I had a chance last night to try out this game again. In the very start after just a few spins I got 3 scatter symbols and a free spins bonus. In total 10 free spins and during those free spins I got again this time 4 scatter symbols and another extra 20 free spins. The cash out from these free spins was about 50 euros on my 0.6 euro bet. I like this game more from Microgaming or Netent games because in Rival casinos you get bonuses often in series after some time. Because I had a very big wager for the bonus I took I decided to increase the bet to 1 euro per spin. I set the autoplay to 25 spins and on the 10-th spin I got the pick up bonus. Here I also cashed in about 50 euros. I spent some time more here and when I moved on to another game I was in plus about 150 euros playing on 0.6 and 1 euro bet per spin.
But, in those early days, I wasn't concerned at all about the game's paytable. In fact, I couldn't even figure out if it was good or not so good, or whatever. All I knew was if I did make a win, then it's a good game. If not, then I must try again. Hahaha. Ignorance can be bliss, but when already knowledgeable, like now, I can only laugh them off, but those silly mistakes would not be repeated anymore.
I have always regarded 'All Aboard!' as a fairly good game to play back in those days, winning some but losing even more. Looking at the paytable now, I realised how ignorant I was at that time. The Train is the Wild symbol in the game, appearing only on reels 1 and 2, expanding and doubling all wins with it, yet it pays nothing for itself. It also substitutes for other symbols except for the Scatter symbol. Casey Jones, the train driver or engineer, is the Scatter symbol. It is a dumb symbol that doesn't pay anything for itself, but getting 3, 4 or 5 of the Scatter symbols trigger 10 free spins with 2x multiplier, 20 free spins with 3x multiplier, or 40 free spins with 4x multiplier, respectively. The Free Spins game can be retriggered too. Nice.
The Bell is the Bonus symbol, also a dumb symbol that doesn't pay anything for itself, but getting 3 or more of them trigger the Bonus Round, whereby you keep picking the Boxcars to win cash prizes, until you pick an empty one which ends the game. The prizes in this bonus game usually aren't that much, around 20x to 30x the total bet amount, but it's sufficient to keep you going. As for the other symbols, the Metal Pin pays 1600x, the Conductor pays 480x, the Caboose pays 360x, the Horsebox pays 320x, the Cart pays 240x, and the rest pay from 160x to 60x, all per line bet for getting 5 of each kind. A very low paytable, as I have just realised.
This slot is interesting cause it have features like many other Rival casinos but it also have expanding wild feature which fill entire first row and you can gain some nice winnings.
As usual I started playing with 1$ per spin , first 4-5 spins I got some very little winnings after that I got into a free spins . You get 10 free spins with 2x multiplier, so after 6-7 free spins I got again feature which gave me another 10 spins and in that feature I also got expanding wild on the first row. In the end of this feature my winning was 80$. I continue playing with 1$ and did manage after some time to get up to 100$. At that point I was very very satisfied so I quit playing for that day.
Next day I continued playing some another slots I lost maybe 20$ and I decided to get back again to Video Slot that helped me raise my balance in the first place , this time slot wasn’t generous as It was first day but I didn’t gave up on it I was ready to go to zero on this slot and when I got down to 20$ I finally got into the bonus round in which you have to pick from 9 wagons until you pick the empty wagon and each wagon caries different amount of coins, I had some luck and earned about 30$ from the bonus rounds after that I got some nice combinations with expanding wild feature and get again up to 50$ but I did played pretty long time this slotand I was really close to met requirements for my bonus , but I get bored and changed my game to blackjack I wanted earn some nice money and to return to this slot but it was different I loose everything there.
Anyways this slot is very nice and very generous , at least in my case it was .
That would indeed be so lovely, if you can get it that is. What I don't like is the non-paying Wild symbol, the non-paying Scatter symbol and the non-paying Bonus symbol. That's a lot of additional winning chances being omitted out from the game. Moreover, the values of the other symbols too are way too low to provide any good wins. My most recent play on this game paid from 0x to 36x my bet amount, which are disappointing indeed, but I still quite like this game. Damn!
