Days of the Tsar Slot

Whenever I looked at the Tsar and the Queen in this Days of the Tsar game, I see Dr Zhivago and Lara, the nurse and the lover. Hmm. Hopeless romantic I am! Hahaha.

The Tsar is the Wild symbol, pays a wonderful 10,000x the line bet if you can get 5 of him on a payline, but that's about all that you can get. It doesn't double any wins, it doesn't do anything else but to substitute for other symbols except the Faberge Scatter symbol. This Faberge Egg, a beautifully decorated egg, much like an Easter egg but better, is the Scatter symbol, 5 of which pay 100x the total bet, which doesn't really justify its exquisite status! It should be at least 250x - 500x, but what the heck. The Queen pays 2000x the line bet for 5 of her, which I feel should be higher too, but this queen isn't Lara, so what the heck again, whilst all the other symbols pay from 1000x the line bet down to 100x the line bet. A little on the low side but can be considered an average paytable.

3 or more Scatter symbols award a Free Spins game, the number of spins won indicated by the numbers appearing on each Faberge Egg, and all wins are doubled. The Free Spins game cannot be retriggered but more free spins can be won with each appearing Faberge Egg which adds +1 more free spin. From the few Free Spins games that I had, there were quite a number of additional free spins given, usually about 4 or 5 in average, so getting 20 free spins isn't that hard at all. Getting nice big wins are. The usual payouts from the free spins that I've had were around 30x - 40x my total bet, which weren't bad at all, but not big enough to satisfy my romantic desires, hahaha.

The video slot doesn't feature any bonus rounds so I would feel that Free spins alone doesn't suit my needs further. It would leave me out to one chance of another round besides free spins. I don't see many Faberge eggs landing during free spins for 1 extra Free spin each so the free spins are quickly shortened! I dislike Days of the Tsar more for the low 2x multiplier. It's got to have something bigger in consideration for the random awarded Free spins for the minimum 3 scattered Faberge eggs.

I just think Days of the Tsar could have been much better! They could've increased the multiplier a bit, added a bonus round, stacked Wilds...you know to make it more appreciative and enjoyable to play with!

Both times the pay was under average and a lot of free spins came out without a win. Over all very disappointing and frustrating game for me. There is only one feature in this game and that is a free spins feature. To get the free spins you have to get three or more Faberge eggs anywhere on the reels. Each egg reveals a number and the total of them is the total of your free spins. I got around 15 free spins both times. The pays are not too bad and the wins are doubled in the free spins but nothing would come out for me.I would get very frustrated when playing this game because I could spin 100 times before I get the bonus. And when I do get the bonus 95% of the free spins would pay nothing. It is really a bad buzz to see that. I would not recommend this game to anyone.

How I wish the Wilds could do more in creating more and bigger wins, and the same goes for the Faberge Egg Scatters too, but Days of the Tsar isn't like Doctor Zhivago. It never could and never will be either. The game just don't have the finesse and flair to be one.
