2016 Gladiators pops itself into full screen mode immediately upon opening which feels a little unusual for an on-line slot but does allow you to experience the game at its best. When viewed fullscreen the symbols look much sharper and clearer and lose the jagged edges caused by shrinking the game down to fit in a window. The music fits in well with the game but becomes repetitive quite quickly as with most slot machine background tunes - I ended up turning the sound off after five minutes or so.

The presentation of this game is really first class and the options menu has a wealth of settings enabling you to tweak settings related to autoplay, graphics, sound and language, and there's even a "Turbo" option enabling you to play your spins at the maximum possible speed. This combined with the well drawn graphics makes the game feel like a very professional product, easily on a par with the latest games from NetEnt and Microgaming.

Wins are pretty decent too and theres a big jump from the maximum payout of the top and bottom symbols.
