game ReviewThe games game can be found at Microgaming casinos. Microgaming as a standard do not publish the slots house edge information of their games. However they lease their slots games out to casinos using other software, some of which do publish this information. So far we’ve only found one casino – Virgin – that has published this information for What on Earth and they list the house edge as 4.02%. When playing at any other venue, this information should be used as a guideline only as the game may be configurable. All those kooky space aliens have come at once and are competing to see who can land the best abductee. This game is a 5 reel game with 9 paylines and you can bet up to 5 coins on each payline. The ‘What on Earth’ symbol is wild, but only substitutes for the top two symbols on the paytable. There are three bonus features when playing What on Earth (kind of). Both bonus features are activated when you receive 3 matching space ship symbols anywhere on the reels. When this happens you will be taken to a new screen showing 5 aliens in their space ships. You click on one of the aliens and a beam will pull something up into the ship – different objects/people award different prizes. If you beam up a ‘Contest’ symbol all five aliens will start beaming up people and things. At the end of the contest you are awarded the ...

Or even with 1 penny per spin but with one line, not sure who will like to play such way.

Game has wilds on all reels, but payout for 5 wilds not so extra ordinary, it is just 75$ for 0.09 bet, and of course i can't say that it is biggest amount of money awarded for 5 wilds that i ever see. Scatters here also presented, and top award for 5 scatters is just 100 x total bet, but take note that scatters here did not trigger anything, and just paying money. In begin of review i wrote that this slot surprise me, and surprise in the fact, that this game has 3 different bonus games, and all three bonus games is awesome.

This is really something rare i can see at microgaming video slots, when on reels 3 different bonus symbols, and 3+ of each trigger bonus games, and all bonus games are different. Even more great thing, that two games can pay up to 200 x total bet, and one can pay up to 400 x total bet, this is really awesome, and make interesting to play this game, you never feel boring, since 3 different bonus game with a chance to win good money keep you spinning and did not let you leave this game without trying it all.

Low-medium 9 line video slot from microgaming, with really awesome bonus games. This is so rare thing for video slot that bonus game is interesting and can pay some great money, so i even recommend this game to try.I am pretty sure that you will like this game too.

The game has only one feature and that is the way popular ‘Beam Em Up’ bonus round. The only thing here that I do not like is that the scatters need to be on adjacent reels to trigger the feature. But to my surprise they appear quite often. The highest multiplier during the bonus round is 200 x bet, and it 400 x bet if you are really lucky to pull up a globe.

During the bonus round there are 5 different alien space ships, so the first time I picked the red one in the middle and it awarded me with x 15 multiplier. So I won 16.20 euros, I was playing with 0.90 bet. Next time I chose the yellow one, which was the last one and it awarded me with 50 x multiplier. At one moment I thought that the multipliers are gradually lined but I do not think that that is the case. I won 51.70 euros this time. I triggered the bonus again. This time I could make sure whether my theory was true or not. But still I did not wanted to risk so I chose the fourth one, I know from experience that the highest multiplier is never at the same place twice, and I got 3 x multiplier and 20.20 win. It is good that you can trigger the feature frequently so you can try every crazy theory that comes up to you at that moment.

I also felt very tempted to raise my bet during my session. But good thing I did not, because after a while the game started to change and to not pay as much as at the beginning.

Well, the aliens in this game don't look as good as those in Energoonz, neither are the graphics and the icons, but this is probably a much older game, so can't really complain about that. Just hope that the game can play as good.

The logo 'What On Earth' is the Wild symbol in the game, paying a nice 7500x the line bet for getting 5 of them, but this very dumb Wild symbol only substitutes for the 2 top symbols, the Blue Alien and the Dashboard. Why this is so I cannot figure out. Why it doesn't substitute for other symbols as well I cannot reason out. All I know is that this isn't a good move. There are 3 types of Scatters in the game, the Red Spaceship, the Green Spaceship and the Blue Spaceship. Why need 3 types of Spaceships? Only Microgaming knows. All I know is what on earth was going on in their minds? The Red Spaceship pays 100x the total bet for getting 5 of them, but the other 2 Spaceships can only be 3 of them, paying 3x the total bet. Why is this so? Hmm, my mind boggles! As for the other symbols, the Blue Alien pays 1000x, the Dashboard pays 500x, and the rest pay from 250x to 50x, all per line bet for getting 5 of each kind. An average paytable, because the Wild symbol disappoints, and all the other symbols have low values.

Getting 3 of the Green or Blue Spaceships, or getting 3 or more of the Red Spaceships, trigger the Beam 'Em Up Bonus game, but the Scatter symbols must be on adjacent reels. In this Bonus game, pick 1 of the 5 aliens in their spaceships to beam up earthlings to win a cash prize. Nothing big in most of them except for one nice 200x total bet prize. The rest are from 3x up to 50x the total bet amount. There is also a 'Contest' symbol, which takes the game into the next level, where your chosen alien competes with the other 4 aliens in beaming up the most earthlings. A prize is awarded for each placing. This second level game is not necessarily better than the first level, but the prize is slightly higher than in the first level.

doesn't matter where they are as long as they same in the same campground to roast a fiery bonus with marshmallows. That means 3 ships "Of the same colour" on reels 2, 3, and 4 altogether or even on reels 3, 4 and 5 can trigger the bonus. The bonus is really like Monsters in the closet for those of you would have entered the bonus game for 3 keys only I think Monster's in the Closet took What on Earth's idea as it's own. What on Earth should get it back in a duel hehehe! The bonus can be extraordinary because your picks can have the potential to reach "skies the limit" payout that makes a building look like crackers in hot soup!

While I'm happy to say this, in one encounter with a Globe under the influence of $0.72 triggering bet for my first pick inside the bonus I chose to go to New York where I picked the purple looking alien I was able to beam up the Statue of Liberty!!! Do you know how much that's worth!?!?!? Finding the Statue of Liberty is worth a colossal 400x on my $0.72!!!!! I was wiping my face from top to bottom repeatedly trying to accept that change for $288!!!!! I felt very dehydrated after that win and would like to find another 400x win for a much larger bet. Were talking $2.25 triggering bet if I can repeat my history again! Oh Baby $900!!!

To finish off I believe What on Earth can expect a 9.8 out of 10!

The symbols are very childish, not too attractive and for me some of them are simply uncategorized. Adding to this the out of date background sound (like the most simplest video game had in the second half of the 80’s), the whole appearance not just didn’t entertain me but while playing with it a little started to become annoying.

On the second spin I had a $95 win for my $1.35 bet and despite all of my first negative impresses I kept playing because the wins don’t depend on how the slot looks like and anyway the little profit I made here gave some room to maneuver.

This session lasted circa 35 mins. and had some entry to bonuses. Interesting, though the game has no free spin feature it works with 3 scatters and all of them has the ability to trigger the bonus game. So in bonus I had to pick 1 alien space ship out of five that determined the type of bonus game. It could be a single multiplier win (that was my reward at the beginning when I won 70 times of total number of staked coins), Beam’em Up bonus when the space shift’s beam of rays absorbed something from Earth that has multiplier value from x3 up to x200, or Beam’em Up Contest when the same happened than at the other bonus except this time the aliens competed each other or Destination bonus with Globe symbol where had to choose one destination (London, Cairo, Tokyo, NY) just for variety’s sake the space shift’s beam of rays absorbed something from Earth. At least here as the destination changed the background image and sound followed it and showed for example pagodas in the Tokyo scene or played some Arab music in the Cairo part.

They really were very one dimensional bonuses without enjoyable or interesting moments. Just to be mentioned the What on Earth emblem is the Wild, though only substitute just 2 other symbol and the best paying participant (x7500).

I had to realize this slot game is far, far away to entertain me or be attractive me. I think Microgaming team has already lost me when they dreamed such type of graphics for their game. Sorry to say that but I found here nothing that can give me any innovative thing or forced me to think about playing with What on Earth again.

Well, I must admit that I quite enjoyed playing What On Earth, but the Beam 'Em Up Bonus games doesn't seem to pay good at all, unless you can get that top prize 200x earthling. I had quite a number of these bonus games, they tend to come quite frequently at times, but the payouts aren't worth shouting about, mostly within the 3x to 20x total bet range. Since there aren't any Free Spins game, What On Earth falls short of being a good game, but from the payouts that I had gotten, I couldn't even rate the game as good.
