I like that this video slot not only gives out these big 50 paylines but the cost for them are fixed at my favourite betting rate which is......a $1 per spin on this well paying slot! It's sooo well paying that my base wins were accumulating wins over my $1 like $1.44 or $4 wins!

There are 2 features. What I like more are the respins, where often times I would hit 5 respins on a common ground. Each of my respins gains a multiplier per respin so the 1st respin would be 1x (It's so cra* I know, flush it down already!) and then 2x on my 2nd (This is alright) and it continues to rise each time. I always win about $10 on these respins but when they turn bad then it becomes much lower! The other feature is a small amount of 8 Free spins at 3x when I collect 3 chinese diamond symbols! Now if I do hit the respins within my set of 8 free spins, the multipliers start off better for 3x then it continues the multipliers from there until my respins have all been fatigued of fetching me winnings! That's the good part of hitting respins inside these 8 free spins. Normally my wins on these small set of free spins were just for $22 or less. So many mixed opinions about Happy Golden Ox of Happiness.......the many 8's being used on payouts, the respins going higher and higher for multipliers, the small 8 free spins at 3x that can hit respins that start my respins at 3x instead of a 1x starting multiplier and the theme is just well put! If you all don't mind betting $1 a spin then HGOoH will be your greatest friend for winnings!

The graphics, icons and music are all up to acceptable current standards, but must have been really nice when this game came out many years ago, so no star down/up.

The game offers a Jackpot prize when you hit 5 Happy Oxes (the Wild symbol) in the main game, but pays 8888 x the line bet in a feature game. The Year of the Ox icon is the Scatter symbol that pays a low 188 x the total bet for 5 of them, while the highest symbol pays 2888 x the line bet. Not high enough to expected levels, so 1 star down.

Getting the Happy Ox Wild symbol on reel 1 and 5 at the same time triggers a Respins feature game, whereby reels 1 and 5 remained locked as the other reels spin up to 8 times to create wins. Each spin increases the win multiplier by 1 x, giving a maximum win multiplier of 8 x on the last 8th spin. This Respins feature game cannot be retriggered but can be won in the normal free spins feature game, triggered by 3 or more Year of the Ox symbols, which awards 8 free spins with all wins tripled, and can be retriggered. The Respins feature game, if won during the free spins, will start with a 3 x win multiplier instead on the 1 x, giving a maximum of 10 x win multiplier on the last 8th spin. Not bad at all. No star down/up.

I’ve won some Respins as well as the normal free spins feature games, but haven’t had the good luck to get the Respins game within the free spins. The Respins gave me 3 and 5 free spins only, and not getting much out of it, while the 8 free spins were just about the same, average from 10 x to 30 x total bet wins. Not a lot I must say, probably requiring a lot more of plays before getting any really good wins. The Wild Happy Ox symbol doesn’t expand at all, which again is a pity, which would have greatly improve the overall payouts from this Happy Golden Ox of Happiness game. But then again, there’s always the bigger jackpot prize to aim for, which currently stands at almost $17,000, for a whopping 17,000 x total bet win. Now that’s worth aiming for! A good game in general, so no star down/up.

It's very important that these Wild symbols trigger together in a parallel fashion otherwise how can they help gain my 5 of a kind wins easier? It's just harder to utilize them this way because they can't make many connection for symbols then with wilds that are mirrored together (the parallel way like both wilds on top position for both reels for example, have more ways then how I described it which can only hit 5 of a kind symbols in two ways)!
