Sorry fans, but I must confess I don’t know anything about this kind of sports and even have no clue how it must be played but I thought it isn’t nuclear physics and maybe the game doesn’t require for me to be a baseball geek so decided to stay with it.

Its graphics solutions are not extraordinary as has cartoonish symbols that illustrate some baseball equipment, magazines, players, cup and foods & drinks. Though I can’t say its appearance a pleasure of my eyes but it has decent view with some funny characters.

At first sight King of Swings’ game components don’t seem to be too satisfactory but having used this 25-payline game for a while by now and visit it and from time to time I can safely say it has surprisingly good payout percentage no matter what the paytable says. But if I insist to start with the facts, of course being an RTG game this product also attached with a randomly triggered Progressive Jackpot ability but the best paying symbol can reward with just 5000 coins and does it if a winning combination is completed by the help of the Batter symbol. Batter figure is one of the 2 Wilds of the game and appears only on the last reel but this emblem has the power to triple every wins while the other Pitcher figure that uses the first four reel to pop up, doesn’t have any additional function besides to substitute for other symbols.

Basically these 2 participants are the reason why I say this slot usually has something to give because if they land on their reels at the same time activate the free spin feature but before they do that a little baseball game is must be played. Every time when Batter hit the ball it increases the number of free spins but if he hit a home run not just the number changes (+4 spins) to our favour but the multiplier value also get bigger. The game lasts until the Batter is out or 9 pitches are thrown. Unfortunately, the player isn’t involved into this side game otherwise it is a good game and thanks to Batter full of humorous animations. Luckily, the best part of the game, the free spins are very often can be played and could give back some nice returns. My best section was when the side baseball game resulted 27 free spin at x7 (the Batter was really well-trained at that day) I was bumped and waited for some really big and though almost every spin brought a winning combination but a real great 5 of a kind line didn’t come and I was some kind of disappointed even though I could collect almost $200 for my $1.25 bet. Of course some spins later I could appreciate my little success but the human nature always want more. Paytable is not as good as a handful of other RTG games. 5 of the Wild Pitcher symbols pay 5000 x line bet, 5 Ball Scatters pay 200 x total bet, while the rest are equally as low. The Batter symbol only appears on reel 5 and triples all wins with it. There’s no Win-Win feature as well, but there’s the usual random Jackpot prize. Not enticing enough. 1 star down.

Such a pity that King of Swing only offers one feature game, the free spins feature game. In those early days of online gaming, games were designed with only 1 or 2 features to offer, of which King of Swing is one of them, but by today’s standards, falls far short of players’ demands and desires, even though the game’s playability is still acceptable. 1 star down.

Game wise, any game that hasn’t got many features to offer usually has good playability, as can be seen with King of Swing. The free spins do come regularly and often which makes the game much more exciting, despite a lack of other features. Win multiplier can be as high as 5 x, and the most number of free spins I managed to get from the initial pitching scene was 19, making it 19 free spins with a 5 x win multiplier. But from all the free spins games with a 5 x win multiplier that I had won so far, the payouts have not been very good. The best I’ve had was with a 3 x win multiplier, won another set of 5 free spins during the free spins game, and with a final total payout of just over 50 x my total bet amount. Pretty good but not high enough, but then again, I haven’t played King of Swing that many times either. Without any doubt, there will be very good payouts with the 5 x win multiplier, but I seriously doubt if anything above 500 x total bet amount can be achieved.

Nonetheless, I enjoyed playing King of Swing, I like the frequent comings of the free spins game, and I also like the game playability without losing my credits like from a leaking bottle. 1 star up.
