King Arthur and his wizard companion Merlin have been celebrated figures for centuries – it is only fitting that Quickspin should celebrate them in their newest slot. Now where was I? Oh yeah, on the game, not the King, hehehe. Mighty Arthur plays with the usual 20 paylines, so this is a very welcoming point for me - other Quickspin games can start at higher bets like 0.25, 0.30 or 0.40, which aren't quite up to my taste or liking. If this game can play with just 0.10, then I would certainly love it more! Hahaha. Anyway, Arthur plays a dual role in this game, yeah, besides being a hero and a King of course. Arthur is a regular symbol in the game, the second highest paying symbol behind Guinevere (looks like he'll always be behind Guinevere, but that's a different story, hahaha), but Arthur is also a 3x3 massive colossal Wild symbol on reels 2, 3 and 4 whenever he appears on reel 3! But of course, you won't find him appearing most of the time, only on rare occasions, but that's where part of the fun is! A really good surprising move, and I love it!

All regular symbols in the game are fully stacked, but have extremely low win values as well. The Wild symbol shares the same value as Guinevere, at 7.5x the total bet for getting any 5 of them, Arthur pays 6.25x, and the rest pay from 4x down to 2.5x. As mentioned earlier, Arthur is also a colossal Expanding Wild symbol, appearing only on reel 3, then expanding onto reels 2, 3 and 4. Merlin is another Expanding Wild symbol, can appear on any of the 5 reels, and can generate 2 up to 6 additional Wild symbols anywhere on the reels! Fantastic! I've had lots of exciting moments with these Arthur and Merlin features, but sadly enough, the payouts still have much to be desired! What a great disappointment indeed!

What more can I say, but to admit that Mighty Arthur is THE BEST game to come out from Quickspin as yet! With a better paytable, it could even be one of the best new games! Playing it was simply exciting and exhilarating, but quite disappointing at the same time, no need to explain why. To Quickspin, I have only one thing to say - well done with Mighty Arthur, but you certainly can do better! Hehehe.

Their formula works as a charm, the yellow / orange-ish and curvy edges are always to be found in their games the other thing you can find in their games are the low payouts, so you can forget winning 1000 times your bet because I've never won it nor I ever seen it.

Mighty Arthur is a game based on an English folklore about king Arthur and his legendary sword Excalibur followed by the magician Merlin, his loyal friend Lancelot and of course also his love lady Guinevere. The odd thing about this game is there's no picture of the villain, so to make it simple, this game does not have a story to tell. You might think, yes that's because it's just a game, then I'd say, a game with a story is more interesting, a reason to come back and play again.

Mighty Arthur reminds me of Quickspin's earlier release, Sakura Fortune but with more chance of expanding wild symbols. In Sakura Fortune, wild symbols only apprear on reel 2 to 4 but Mighty Arthur exceded that with 2 more wild symbol, on reel 1 and 5 which means that triggering a full screen of wildies is possible, very hard but it's possible. How do I know this? Well, it almost happened to me a few weeks back.

My first try was very disappointing, no bonus feature were triggered in that game session and end up with nothing. I could stop when I had the chance but I was too curious to do so. The second time was a bit better but it wasn't what I hoped for. Three times is a charm they say and it actually was because that's the time I almost got that screen full of wildies in the free spins feature. The winning from it was not as big as I expected but I was happy to win it. Merlin appeared on reel 1 and 3 and added a nice amount of extra wild symbols.

Mighty Arthur is a good game but in order to win big, you have to wager big bets and luck is required too.

The Arthur symbol which drops randomly on the center reel and then expands to fill the center 3 rows can be a game changer or a game saver depending on where your balance sits when it hits for you. Having the center 3 rows all turn wild makes for some wonderful hits even with low end symbols, yet alone when it hits along with some of the top symbols.

The Merlin symbol drops randomly, making an entire row wild and can drop in multiple places at the same time.

The bonus round is 10 rounds and any time even a hint of either Merlin or Arthur show them slide down into place just as pretty as can be to form up some incredible bonus round wins.

This game in my experience is very much a "when it's hot, it's hot" game. I've taken an initial $20 deposit and turned it into upwards of $5,000 by raising the bet after every bonus round, I've also seen it eat a $50 deposit without even pretending to show a bonus round. Get it while it's hot, steer clear when it's not.
