I presented this information about the Route 66 suspecting that most of AskGamblers readers are European. On a personal note, about 15 years ago, I had the chance to live for a few months in Boston, so this game made me recall some facts about U.S. roads that we do not encounter here in Europe. In particular I remembered those huge trucks (2-3 times bigger than the biggest Mercedes or BMW truck here), that are driving across the U.S. mainland and also those “Fast Food” stops that one can find along the main routes being so common in the U.S. and so rarely found here.

Regarding the atmosphere and feeling of the game, the slot music makes you feel like you really “ride” all the day one of those huge trucks being part of the everyday life of this highway.

this game would be more attractive if gains were not so dependent on the activation of free games rounds; but even so, I think “Road Trip Max Ways” is one of the most exciting slots created by Saucify, simply it is important to consider some exit strategy that allows us to end up with a feeling of satisfaction.

I don’t know why they re-designed that game and why not release a totally new one, maybe the 9-line variant was a fan-favourite or just it was simpler to modify an already existing game and not to put much work in a new one? I have no clue why but this version of the slot also can’t captivate me with its visual appearance. I wouldn’t mind it has a simple look but every time I fell something’s missing here. Sure, it is related to graphics which I consider not too detailed and a bit one-schemed and eventually in my opinion it hasn’t the best pictorial quality among BetOnSoft slots.

The slot itself is a 243 ways-to-win game but to be honest I don’t feel it when I’m playing. There are no such differences comparing to the other version that would be eye-popping simple it just got free spin feature and another Scatter. I’m used to such multi-way products to get me some very nice rewards from time to time and the games are full of potential to win big but Road Trip somehow doesn’t make me think it when the reels are spinning.

Of course it doesn’t make too much sense to start bothering when we see the Truck what’s the best paying symbol, just pays 500 coins because the 243-ways feature is all about the ‘multi-symbol’ appearing that result accumulated wins. Wild appears only on the second and fourth reels to substitute other symbols without any extra function (multiplier).
The game offers 2 Scatters. One of them is a simple Scatter (Route 66 signpost) and pays if 3 or more appears on the table up to 75 times of total bet, the other Scatter is responsible to trigger up to 20 free games and to give out 100 times of total bet if 5 of them pop up. During free games all wins have a x2 multiplier option and the feature itself can be re-triggered.

Maybe many of you won’t agree with me but I don’t really like Road Trip and it’s a big disappointment for me. I expect much more from a ‘243’ game and I think it isn’t comparable to other products in this same category. Unfortunately, this slot can’t give me what I like to get and it true every segment of the game. I guess it’s not the best product that ever came out from the BetOnSoft’s workroom.
