As you can understand from the title, this game is all about monkeys. I was kind of expecting that I wouldn't like that, but I loved it. There are 7 types of monkeys and they all are in different colors, each has it's own value. It has 5 reels and 7 paylines. I've played this game a few times now and I prefer betting with 0.70€ bets, or 0.35€ when my balance is low. Game pays from left to right and I believe the most important thing in this slot is consistency because the combinations you get there are only from the same color monkeys or same color monkeys combined with wild symbols. I've experienced a full screen of the same color monkeys, but since they were with the lowest value, I had only around 30x bet win, however, the look was quite amazing.
The only bonus round this game has is free spins round. But don't get upset, I was quite amazed to see amount of free spins I had, when I first played this game. For 3 scatters, placed anywhere, I was given 50 free spins, which is one of the biggest amounts I've seen. They only have 1x multiplier, but still the possibility to get decent win is there, my best achievement has been 40x bet. But if you have more scatters, you can get up to 150 free spins with 3x multiplier. I think then you can get some amazing winnings, but I haven't ever got 4 scatters, so I think it's a really hard thing to do.
Overall I think this is a very good game from Topgame software and it has the potential to become my favorite game from them. The payouts are quite average, and the yellow monkeys have the biggest value, but I have seen them in winning combinations only few times. But I had fun every time I played this slot, and the free spins can be really exciting. Nice graphics and interesting design, I think it's worth trying.
However, as with every other game, if it plays coldly, then expect the worse, as any other game would give too.
7 Monkeys is very similar to 7 Piggies, both from Pragmatic Play, albeit with some small differences in the features and payouts. Both games have excellent big symbols - very nice to look at and comfortable to the eyes too - and the symbols are all stacked, so you'd be seeing lots and lots of same symbols appearing on the reels. But of course, getting lots of same symbols does not necessarily mean getting good wins, simply because the win values of all the symbols are very low indeed, except for the Wild symbol, which pays a decent 214x total bet for getting 5 of them. All Wild symbols would theoretically pay 1500x the total bet, but getting that would be another story, if possible at all in the first place.
My past plays on 7 Piggies turned from fairly good to bad, and I got the same experience on this 7 Monkeys game too. It seems that most, if not all, of Pragmatic Play games tend to play better in the early stages, then turning sour as you play more and more of it. So, to overcome this, or rather to avoid getting caught up with this, I would always play these games for a short time only, probably over not more than 5 sessions or so, and then I'd forget about them! Hahaha.
I would really like if the 50 free spins, for 3 scatters, would have higher multiplier than 1x.
To be very honest, as well as to be fair to the game, 7 Monkeys can be exciting to play, but I really doubt if the game can stand extended periods of excitement - by that, I mean a player would soon get bored by the very low payouts! I know I did! Nonetheless, it's still a game to play if you don't have much funds to spend, or just for getting rid of that itchiness in your fingers and your heart - just don't expect to get nice big wins from it, unless you happen to be on a damn blardy lucky day, hehehe.
