game machine is a great mix of Asian culture with some mass culture elements. Those of you who have been following the content from Microgaming for quite a while now will surely recognize the visuals. The studio worked with this style of design in its early 2010s. It is a bright combination of red, blue, and yellow, as well as sharp visuals and cartoon-like characters. In addition to the entertaining design, this release allows winning not only in the base game but also in a few additional winning features. The list of these advertised bonuses includes, but is not limited to free spins, multipliers, and a special pick-and-click session. What is more, the game also delivers paid Wilds and Scatter, as well as a plethora of paid basic symbols. We assess all of them in the publication further down this page. We also complement the review with links to online lobbies that still have this release among their titles. If you’re wondering whether there are promotions, and what those are, we also have a roadmap to the best welcomes. So, don’t miss out on all the inside scoop! ...

My perfect bet for this game is €0.45. It keeps me playing for a while, and on some occasions you could win a decent amount of money.

There are 15 lines in this game with a chance to get bonus or free spins. To get the bonus you need to get three Chinatown scatters on the second, third and fourth reels. That take you to the kung fu bonus. This bonus consists of 3 rounds. In the first you fight karate monkeys, in the second you fight ninjas and in the last one you fight the boss. All of this to save the baby monkey. max i ever got on this bonus was €47 on a €0.45 bet.

The free spins feature is triggered when scatters lands on the first and fifth reels. This awards you with 10 free spins with 2x. The free spins feature can be re-triggered, and i have re-triggered it many times. Max i ever won on the free spins feature was €50 on a €0.45 bet. The drawings in this game are very cute and funny. The music is very interesting and positive. Every time i play this game it makes me happy and cheerful. Even though i dont play this game all the time i really like it. I would recommend it to people who bet small and who like to have a story line in the game. The payouts are pretty decent and do come out a lot. If i was to rate this game i would give it a solid 6 out of 10. Hope you enjoy my review and have a nice day:)

To receive the free spins all I had to do is land 2 scattered gongs on the first and last reels to find 10 Free spins at 2x. I don't know if this works but what I have been doing to obtain these with ease is to play around with the auto play buttons. For me, I memorized the 1st reel so I might predict if whether or not the Scatter gong will appear. It seems that by spinning the reels, the first reel would have 2 seconds before stopping but with the 5x, 10x or autoplay it seems to stop shorter for a second. I would try doing this because it may help you out!

The bonus round, being the hardest to trigger needs the middle reels to be filled with 3 Chinatown scatters! 3 levels to kick baboon/monkey/gorilla a** and getting paid to do so!! My overall biggest win was for 45x on my 4 coins for $27. Great story line about the captured baby monkey and a very neat bonus round! But remember to try not to pick a foe that can't be defeated! He brings an omen of bad luck!

Anything goes with cartoons, and anything is possible too. So, here we have Kung Fu Monkey going into Chinatown, on a rescue mission, fighting against the odds of Kung Fu exponents, Ninjas and even against the almighty Gorilla Boss himself. Frankly speaking, that big Gorilla Boss is nothing more than a frail oversized monkey. All he can do is just to throw some punches. Some punches and a few kicks is enough to bring him down. You can take my kick for it, hehehe.

The logo 'Kung Fu Monkey' is the Wild symbol, 5 of which pays 2500x the line bet, is a dumb Wild symbol, and only substitute for other symbols except for the 2 Scatter symbols. 2 Scatter symbols? Yep, Microgaming likes to have 2 or more of everything. The Chinatown Scatter symbol appears only on reels 2, 3 and 4, and getting these 3 symbols pay 1x the total bet and triggers the Kung Fu Bonus game. The Dong Scatter symbol appears only on reels 1 and 5, and getting these 2 symbols pay 1x the total bet and triggers 10 free spins, which can be retriggered, and with all wins doubled. All other symbols pay from 1000x the line bet to 20x the line bet, for 5 of each kind. Hmm, a low paytable yet again.

In the Kung Fu Bonus game, there are 3 levels to complete. In levels 1 and 2, there are 6 opponents, 5 of which can be defeated, the other 1 cannot be defeated, but it awards either 5 or 8 free spins, depending on either level 1 or level 2 the fight took place. Get to level 3 and you face the Big Boss himself, that not-so-mighty oversized gorilla. Looks big and furious, but is actually like a punching bag. Defeating him is easy, but no need to brag. Winning all levels award a 56x the total bet prize, a 40x win coming from defeating the gorilla boss himself. But get the Free Spins award and the Bonus game ends, at either level 1 or level 2.

Getting Chinatown scatters for 2nd, 3rd and 4th reels were time consuming. I needed lots of patience to get this bonus round where a few times my bonus has ended on the second round with the Ninjas. It's only twice that I gotten far to the third level where the boss Gorilla awaits the Monkey!

My word of advice inside the bonus, don't pick an ape that is unbeatable because it will be game over with free spins. I know you don't want that! You want to beat down the Gorilla Boss using fight combos and save the baby monkey!

Most of the free spins would go empty. In the Free Spins game awarded within the Kung Fu Bonus game, those 5 or 8 free spins turned out to be even worse. 2 out of 3 of the Free Spins games paid me a blardy big zero! The other game paid me a 13x bet win. What the argh!

Kung Fu Monkey may look exciting to play, which it really can be, but the very low paytable results in poor payouts, and the free spins tend to be useless most of the time. This isn't a high variance game, so such poor payouts and its poor performance are indeed a big letdown.
