This is one of the few games where it seems to me that Rival were in hurry just to make a game without thinking about the final result.

Next, the graphics are extremely simple with some equally simple animations. As I already wrote, the theme is Christmas and here you have a symbol with Santa which is the wild symbol, a Christmas feast, gifts, candles, Christmas tree etc. Also, when it comes to the features the Rival were not inspired so here you only have one and that is the free spins feature.

Total, for 3 or more scatter symbols anywhere on the screen you get 10 free spins. The free spins have a 3x multiplier and the wild icon during the free spins has 2x multiplier. This is the only feature offered by this game. The only thing that I like in this game is that the rules are so simple that it is enough just one look at the pay-table or just to make a few spins here to fully understand them. From the symbols the best pay is the scatter symbol because for 5 of these symbols you will not get only 10 free spins but also and 100 x total bet. Then the wild symbol, 5 wild symbols on one active pay-line pay 5000 x line bet.

Although, it was six years ago until now as I play in the Rival casinos, probably I did not made more than 100 spins on this game for all that time. The Winter Wonders is a boring game that absolutely does not provide any excitement. So, from me will get a negative rating i.e. 5 out of 10 possible stars.

When I opened it I expected the usually rival created video slot with the usually 20 lines but this slot has only 15. In this case the less are more I think because I was very lucky with that machine. Maybe more players played on the winter wonders in the holiday’s maybe I was just lucky but I liked the playing there. The low lines made the video slot one of the cheapest from the rival slots. I played only 0.3 euro because I had less money in my casino balance.

The starting was really great because from my third spins I get the three free spin scatters and I allowed to start the free games. Three from those free spins symbols gave 10 free rounds with 3 times multiplier. The 10 free rounds almost reached the feature end when I triggered it again. Those another 10 free round was really different like the previous. I hit five candles and turkeys with the Santa wilds and get a nice amount from the end of the free spins feature. I continued to play here but I raised the stake to try to get more money from it.

Many spins later I get the feature again but this time I triggered four of the free spin scatters but I get the same free rounds amount. In that higher bets the free games pays better but I didn’t hit any huge win. At the end I left that video slot with 110 euro profit but I later came back to play and lost the half of my profit back but I enjoyed the play here.

Though the Sleigh icon can repeatedly trigger that feature again during free spins but any bonus type side games are not part of the features palette and there aren’t any additional secondary mini games or other specialty.

From this short description what had the task to try to let know the qualities of the slot, easily inferable what I meant when said it’s a simple game. For someone who used to play with action type slots or uncountable features presented machines, Winter Wonders can be very boring and quickly return to their favourite games but I think this slot has the ability to win player to its own side with the mood that it creates. It wouldn’t be surprise if a poll result would show that around Christmas the number of players who play with this game are doubled or tripled. I’m not really an action type guy and despite my assorted results I think I’m allowed to like this slot game.
