When I looked into Joan Of Arc’s paytable, I instantly recognised the similarities of the features, perhaps even having identical, or almost identical, win values for all the symbols.

Playing with 243 ways to win, and with a starting bet of 0.30 per spin, there really isn’t many features to expect out of the game! In fact, the main feature is only what the arrow-box can do for the symbol it encloses, other than that, everything else is as expected of current games – very low win values for all the symbols, and with non-paying non-doubling Wild symbols. In the base game, any arrow-boxed symbol in a winning combination, with at least one Scatter symbol somewhere else on the reels, would transform all 3 symbols on that same reel into double-symbols. During the free spins play, this transformation doesn’t need any Scatter symbol to be activated, however, the transformation can only take place if that initiating arrow-boxed symbol is part of a winning combination.

The Free Spins game awards only 10 free spins, even by getting 5 Scatter symbols on the reels, there’s no win multipliers whatsoever, but more free spins can be retriggered. Nah, that’s simply just not good enough to produce any good wins! An arrow-boxed Wild symbol can also be a double-symbol, but this can only occur on reels 2, 3 and 4, so at best, there can only be 3 reels of fully stacked Wild symbols. Nonetheless, this isn’t easy to get at all, and if lucky, you may get 2 reels of fully stacked Wilds.

During my play on this Joan Of Arc game, I could only get 1 reel of Wilds. Needless to say, the free spins games that I got were quite hopeless, paying out low wins of up to about 30x, and only once did I get one 82x win. Oddly enough, the best win came in one of the base game spins instead, but still paying a low 133x win. As with Playtech’s Archer game, this Joan Of Arc game is almost identical in many ways, meaning, I’ll keep some distance away! Hehehe.
