I think it is because the samurai are associated with respect and honor, and those are the most important values to pretty much everyone. This values also give a certain credibility to the game and it is always nice to know that your opponent is not cheating.

The game is full of nice wins and on a bet of $1 I was able to get $76 on a line hit. This happened on a double tap and with few wilds. It was extra nice because I also got the feature with that big win. when you get three or more wilds you are awarded with 8 free spins with all wins tripled. During the free spins the logos act as wilds too and boot your winning chances. I won around $24 the first time I played and around $48 the second. In all I think you could get big pay, but I double tap the most of the spins and probably ruin my winning chances.

There is also another feature in this game and to get it I had to get three or more logos. This bonus is easier to get and can pay more. You get 25 free spins or until samurai appears on first and last reels. Each spin the multiplier rises and you can really score. I got this feature few times and was never able to complete my 25 free spins. The furthest I got was 18 and fastest was around 6 spins. As always it was the double tapping that killed me fast but man do I like it. My biggest win was $60.

Sword of the Samurai is another great game from Nuworks which for a theme has ancient Japan. The graphic, sound and symbols in the game are very good and correspond to the overall design and theme of the game. I especially like the animations and sounds when I get a win on a wild or scatter symbol.

I played this game 3 or 4 times by now and it has eaten about 500 dollars in bet. I have to say that I am overall pleased with the payout because I had some good line wins with 2 wilds. The first time I played the game I played about 150 spins on a 1 dollar bet. I didn't get any feature but I had 2 wilds or 2 scatters lots of times. The line wins were good so I ended up losing only about 30 dollars. From all the times I played here I got the feature only once.

There are two bonus features in this game. One for 3 wilds and one for 3 scatters anywhere on the reels. In the first one you will get 8 free spins and all scatters will act as wilds. This feature can be re triggered when 3 or more mixed scatter wild symbols appear on the reels. I triggered only this feature and had a small win of about 27 dollars. The second feature is much better in my opinion and for 3 scatters you get free spins with increasing multiplier for every spin up to 25 spins or until the Samurai appears on reel 1 and 5. Unfortunately after so much bets I still haven’t gotten this feature.

I will play this game again and I really hope that it will be more generous to me the next time. After all it is the honorable thing to do.

Because of the name I could imagine a little bit of action type slot game with fight scene bonus or because of its Asian theme a great relaxing environment with very nice and peaceful images but I don’t really get neither of them. Though the symbols the game uses would make possible the second options with bonsai, geisha, snowy mountain top or pagoda but the graphics are not exceptional or worked out in details so somehow the pleasant and attractive environment just can’t be realized while the action rich imagination is even bigger disillusion because the slot doesn’t have any such kind of qualities. So overall, the interface of the slot is little disappointment for me and not just because of what I imagined beforehand but it still would be that if I just consider what I actually got here in visualization.

Unfortunately, the slot hasn’t got the ability to surprise me in positive way by other parts of the game as the game qualities are also not that what I could rave about (excluding the common Jackpots in the system and the great free spin feature). The best paying 5 of a kind win is worth only 2000 times of line bet and it can’t be multiplied by any ways as some other games at this platform offers because that kind of win can be achieved with Wilds. This Samurai icon really just replaces others in wins without multiplying ability and though the Sword of the Samurai logo has paying ability by own but it can be maximum 50 times of total bet which is also not the best on the market.

The best attribute of the slot is it provides two different types of free spins feature (I suppose a little bit compensating the hiatus of the traditional bonus side game). Personally, I like the Sword Feature much more because I find it more profitable and with some luck it really has the ability to save the day at times. After getting 3 Scatters in normal game mode, free spins are awarded where every single spin has one bigger multiplier value than the previous one (first spin is played with x1 multiplier, 2nd spin with x2, third with x3 and so on) until 25 free games are completed or both the first and the last reels contain at least one-one Samurai icons. If I remember correctly I haven’t reached the 8th or 9th spins here but the fortunate arrangements of the symbols of the fifth and sixth spins once gave me barely more than $110 in a session but generally can be said with the increasing multiplier the final results of this kind of free spins usually are satisfying.

The other extra game feature is the Samurai Feature where 3 Samurai icons on the table activate 8 free games where all wins are counted by x3 multiplier and every appearing Scatter acts as a Wild. These game conditions and rules are also sounds great but in my case somehow it never gave that good result as the other one and lot of session went really went unnoticed.

Overall, at the beginning I got from this slot slightly less what I expected initially and since then it still doesn’t live up to my expectations though sometimes it really can show some signs of being a good game. Despite of this, Sword of the Samurai slot can’t break out from the mediocre caste and I miss here a real Bonus side game and I also have some issues regarding the paying abilities and the displaying qualities so at the end of day, I have to say this is just another average, ordinary slot game.
