It's basically a chance to try hitting the free spins when the scattered wolves/huskies become sighted for just two. The reels for the 2 scatters are held in place and the other reels start spinning for a chance on the third scatter to indicate the real trigger for the 10 Free spins at 2x!

I know I don't win too largely on this slot but it is because most of what I win are spread out in small totals when hitting the Free spins 4 times. I get about a small $26 total win under my 4 coins. I once had $89 when I tackled 5 boots symbols during free spins but I can't seem to get close to the highest symbols for ships in or out of the feature. It's a superb slot that I like, mostly because of the 2nd chance and even though it finds itself not triggering I don't mind following up consecutive bets to receive them. Chasing them can pay off! 2nd chance is king regardless if it gives Free spins or not...it still gives pleasant scatter pays!

This is a way to give you a second chance to get the feature and i have got the feature like that many times.

There are 25 line in this game and the minimum bet is €0.25. I usually play on €0.50 or €0.75 bets and on this game i could tell straight away if its going to pay or not. There is only one feature in this game and that is a free spins feature. To get that i had to get three or more dogs anywhere on the reels and i got them tonnes of times. I never managed to get five or even four of dogs but i did get three. That awarded me with 10 free spins with all wins doubled.

The feature can be retriggered and i have re-triggered it good few times. I managed to re-trigger it once on a €0.75 bet and won around €80. The pays are quite high and if you get lucky you can really win a lot. I like the graphics and the sound effects are pretty cool. the thing i like most about this game is the re-spin for a chance to get feature.

Over all the game is fun and i really enjoy playing it, give it a chance i think you would like it too. I would recommend this game to everybody. If i was to rate it i would give it 8 out of 10.

I like its symbols and even though they’re not bring nothing new to the table but nice enough to enjoy them and represent well compass, ice ax, ship, huskies and explorer. Maybe I’m living in a converse world but mainly play with this slot at summer especially on very sunny, hot days and I know it’s just an illusion but that game session really gives some refreshing experience. At the end, I would rate the appearance of Polar Pioneers neither superb nor bad; I think it represents the average Microgaming quality with a decent atmosphere.

This 25-payline slot has very good payout qualities (and I say this despite the fact I’ve never seen the best face of the game yet) and with 5 Explorer symbols on an active line it can award player with a 15.000 times of line bet prize which is very respectable. This icon also acts like a Wild and can replace almost every other figure in a winning combination. The Scatter pays up to 125 times of total bet in lucky situation and also activates 10 free spins if 3 or more appear on the reels. There’s a little gift from the developer to get more chance to go to free spins, if just 2 Huskies emblem pop up on the screen we don’t have to feel sorry for ourselves immediately as the 2 reels that contain such symbols remains while the other 3 reels spin one more time in hoping that at least one additional Husky appear anywhere and the free spin feature get the green light to get started.

I always like and appreciate this kind of positive attention and behavior from the creators part and I can feel that I’m treated well and this player favoring attitude is always welcomed. Anyway, those 10 extra games are played with doubled prize and based on my experience that side game is very effect at times and the player really can get out with some nice profit. The slot doesn’t offer traditional Bonus game but instead a well-known suits/colours type Gambling feature is attached to this slot.

Unfortunately, this product doesn’t love me that much as I sympathize with it because I’ve never made any remarkable profit on it but despite of this I still consider a very solid game. So, if you wanna play this Polar Pioneers game, then be prepared to be tough to face the challenges ahead.

The Explorer is the Wild symbol, 5 of which pays 15,000x the line bet, and substitutes for other symbols except for the Scatter symbol. Nope, it doesn't double any win, it doesn't become stacked, and it doesn't expand either. It is a dumb Wild symbol. The Huskies is the Scatter symbol, 5 of which pays 125x the total bet amount, slightly more than the usual. Getting 3 or more of them triggers 10 free spins with all wins doubled. More free spins can be retriggered. Honestly speaking, 10 free spins with a 2x multiplier is only half the usual provision, so this is not good at all. The other symbols in the game pay from 2500x the line bet (Ship) down to 125x the line bet for 5 of each kind. An average paytable.

In the base game, whenever 2 Scatters appear anywhere on the reels, one respin is awarded to try and get that third Scatter. Most times it won't come, but once in awhile, it does, and thereby awards the Free Spins game. This respin is not triggerable during the free spins.

The fact that once free spins are currrently playing it's worth only a small 2x multiplier!

Another part that's concerning is that there aren't any 2nd chances inside the feature so the free spins scatters have to land without them. This means 3 normal scatters in a single free spin and no respins making retriggers hard! I've seen a couple of 2nd chances in my spins that didn't go into a feature trigger for several times (6 times) but after that experience I never found anymore of these shortcomings.

The Free Spins games are hard to get, the payouts from the Free Spins games were low, from 10x to 33x my bet amount, with nothing higher than that. After a few thousand spins done playing this game, I still couldn't get any single decent payout above that 33x bet amount. That was totally disappointing, and certainly not worth playing anymore for me.
